Elections Faculty council and Student council 2020/2021

In the political issue of the Ouranostra, of course, our own University Council and Faculty Council elections cannot be ignored. This election week we received a seat in both the Faculty Council of the Faculty of Law and the University Council. List LEX is proud to announce that Puck van Herwerden and Iris de Visser will represent you in the councils next year. They will work hard to make your vote count and your voice heard. Thank you for voting list LEX!

Good representation, better education!

The Faculty and University Council play a big part in helping the faculty and university function as it should. By law, the Faculty Council has the right to approve matters, to be notified of issues and to the right to initiative. The University Council, on the other hand, strives to better the university through openness, transparency, and collaboration within the university. Furthermore, both councils strive to prevent any and all discrimination and further the equal treatment of men and women, of those with a handicap or a chronic illness, and of people with a migration background (WWW art. 9.32.3 – 4). Those who have taken a seat in either council on behalf of List LEX and SHAPE focus on the following points:

  • Quality of education
  • Student wellbeing
  • Communication and transparancy
  • Study facilities
  • Community feeling
  • Sustainability

In the academic year 2021-2022, List Lex is represented in the Faculty Council by Puck van Herwerden. List SHAPE-LEX is represented in the University Council by Iris de Visser.

They will fight for all subjects that matter to students on your behalf. The gap between faculty and student must be bridged, there must be more room for self-improvement and the development of soft skills, and more guidance must be provided to students.
